Kelliann & Richard: Married!!!

Kelliann and Richard have the kind of love story that you generally only encounter in classic fiction and on the silver screen. On January 7, 2011, after overcoming long periods of being separated by 3235 miles (including an ocean) and jumping through several government hoops, they got married in front of an adoring crowd of family and friends.

They are the sweetest and watching them exchange vows was truly an honor.

It was an amazing day and I was lucky enough to snap photos for their guestbook. Here are some of my favorites.

 Congratulations Kelliann and Richard!!!

Kelliann & Richard:Engaged!!

So far my weekends in 2012 have been a flurry of weddings and wedding-related activities. I wanted to start out but by sharing a couple fun pictures from the nuptials of Kelliann and Richard (my first wedding of 2012) but I figured first I should share some of the engagement pictures I took of them last summer .

So to rewind 5 (ish) months, this is what two incredibly attractive people being in love looks like.

Enjoy!

Are these two gorgeous or what?!?!? Ok, one more...

Progress

Not going to lie, this winter has been rough for me, despite being unseasonably mild weather-wise.But about a month after the winter solstice, daylight hours are finally getting noticeably longer.

Is anyone else as ready for spring as I am?

San Diego

The weekend before thanksgiving I went to the annual American Speech-Language Hearing Association's (ASHA) annual conference. In case you are unfamiliar, it is like comicon for SLP geeks, like me.

I had a great time seeing grad school friends, learning stuff, and wandering around the city.

The 65 degree, intermittently sunny weather was a welcome departure from the classic Oregon winter (aka rain).

gratitude

I have a lot of things to be thankful for this year.

The best husband ever.
(and I mean, ever)

My family & friends
(many of which I include under 'family')

My health.
(this one has been real wild card in the past)

My job.
(aka getting paid for the first time in a long time)

My home.
(It has a fire place that turns on by flipping a switch, a switch people)

What are you thankful for this year?

Autumn

It appears I have lost my enthusiasm for long, wordy blog posts (don't worry, I am sure it is temporary.) Regardless, I want to show husband what I have been up to for the past two weeks so here goes.

2 years

Today is our second wedding anniversary.

I was planning on celebrating like this...

but then husband managed to surprise me from halfway around the world with these...

The flowers included a personal note from husband, written in Italian.

He is the best.

Happy Anniversary P!
